Assignment:
"Write, design, and illustrate a 10 (or 12) page self-cover booklet about an important designer. Emphasize one main idea for a reader of general interest to understand not only this person's contribution to graphic design, but WHY it is significant."
For this book I chose designer Jessica Walsh. I wanted to examine her work with both clients and personal and the critique which each style of work receives. I designed it with bold colors to speak to Walsh's own style. This book was designed using a grid system to hold all the pages together, as well as white blocks behind text and images to keep the style cohesive. I used drop caps in Walsh's handwriting on each spread to create a place for the viewer's eye to enter.
